Instead of 29 plus 49, I think he could easily sell a lot more of OS2 if he also make a bundled price: OS 1 & 2 together for less than 80 Dollars. Simple as that.Īnother thing to get new customers interested in his product would be, to offer an OS bundle. I think one of the reasons people were not buying it, is a psychological one: spending 29 bucks goes easier from hand than 39 or even 49. He is working on that thing anyways, if he's selling it for more or less, doesn't make a difference. The latter argument doesn't hold any weight, but for the first, I think that's totally the wrong direction. Well, I was kind of struck by jj's marketing logic, that his was like: "well, not enough users are buying it, I need to make it more expensive" and "that's just what it costs for the mpc 2500". I really think JJ needs a better website (& translator) as well. i myself wasn't too excited about it until sat down and spent a good amount of time working and realized how much more i could do with the OS. some of the advantages of OS 2 are not as easy to understand for some people.
people don't understand the difference between the 2 OS's and wonder why they should upgrade. we see it all the time here in the forum where people come in and ask all of the same basic questions over and over. I also think there is some confusion between OS 1 & 2. I think there is a (correct) perception that the OS is still beta, and that some people are sitting back and waiting for a more final release. even tho i still consider that a bargain for OS 2, it's unfortunate that JJ isn't getting more buyers.
